Core’s First Progression for Skin Collection
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s Collection feature is the first permanent progression for skin collection we’ve seen in any core app. In this feature, acquiring hero skins advances players in a ranking system that awards exclusive cosmetics, creating long-term goals that require significant spend. Players can also customize their profiles to showcase up to eight skins to other players, which adds a feeling of prestige to skin collections.
This feature contributed to a strong revenue increase of 25% 3Wo3W along with several events that awarded skins during this period. Designers of core apps with deep catalogs of skins should consider implementing similar features to encourage long-term spend.
